CUSTOMER CARE AND SUBSCRIPTION POLICIES
- Release of Liability: I understand that the use of the rented toy involves certain risks, including, but not limited to, bodily injury and property damage. I hereby release and discharge Rent the Playroom, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the rented toy, whether such claims are caused by the negligence of the toy rental business or otherwise.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that the use of the rented toy involves certain inherent risks, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the use of the toy, including, but not limited to, injury, death, and property damage.
- Pick up and drop off: If you live within Lutherville-Timonium, MD, the toys will be dropped off to you. If you live outside of that area, you will need to pick up your toys. The date and time will be predetermined.
- Shipping Your subscription box will be shipped to you on a predetermined date every month. There is a window you must sign up within in order to receive your subcription before the subscription period ends. If you place your order after this time, your subscription box will be delivered the next subscription period.
- Missing Parts. If you lose a piece of an item and the item is still functional without it, we will charge a small replacement fee at our discretion. If the missing part renders the item incomplete and the item can no longer be used, we will treat it as a broken toy, giving you the 3 options above. By signing this document, I am agreeing that all parts to the rented item were provided at the beginning of the rental period.
- Late Fees. A late fee of $1 per day per item will be charged to your credit card for all overdue items past usage of the forgiveness credits. Shipping is to be paid by the subscription member. If the toy is not returned within 1 business week, we will charge your account with the retail price of the toy.
- Care and Use of the Rented Toy: I agree to use the rented toy in a careful and responsible manner, and to return the toy in the same condition in which it was received, except for ordinary wear and tear. We rent to smoke-free homes, and if there is a smoke smell left on the toy, then it will be treated as damage to the product. We strongly recommend designating a corner or shelf in your home for our items. When you check out an item, we will count or weigh it with you, and we’ll do the same when you return it. We offer 3 options should you ever lose an item that you’ve checked out:
a. Replace the lost item with another safe, high-quality toy of similar value and in good condition. All items will be accepted at our discretion.
b. Buy the identical item and bring it in as a replacement.
c. Pay the “love it or lose it” price for the item. This amount is the retail value for the toy. - Exchanges If your child truly detests a toy, you can either return it and swap it for a new toy (shipping is paid by the subscription member), or add a new toy to your subscription the following month. There is a 3 time policy for exchanges. Past 3 times, the account may be terminated based upon if it is determined that the member is taking advantage of the policy.
- Buying If you and your child fall in love with a toy and know that taking it away from them will do not good for them, you are welcome to purchase it for the price it was purchased for. The difference will be calculated based on your subscription rate, price per toy (for example, Premium Subscription is $6 per toy), subtracted from the retail price).
- Borrowing Policies. We require a credit card on file for all borrowing. With a few exceptions, members may renew rentals.
- Compliance with Applicable Laws: I agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with the use of the rented toy.
